BREAKING NEWS

See below for updates on an exciting new opportunity to support Tayman Tutoring and get involved in the community!

Welcome to Tayman Tutoring

You as parents have the honor of deciding what and how to teach your students. My wife and I brought our 3 kids through the “homeschool” world from k- 12. We experienced co-ops and correspondence and charter schools. Allotments and independent costs. Purchased curriculum and formal textbooks. We understand the value of knowing what, how, and who teaches your students.

If you choose any of my classes, I operate as a private vendor and work with the many alternative “schools” operating within the Greater Anchorage area but I recognize every student “learns” at different speeds. Although my classes have plenty of structure (assignments due each week), there is a built in flexibility. All I ask is each student puts in effort to try and in return there is flexibility to learn at your speed.

What I offer: Small group high school classes. My focus is bringing educational topics alive using multiple venues: artifacts, videos, hands on items, in-class exercises, and lectures.  Here you can find information on enrollment (including where, when and how much) and basic information about each class.

Enjoy your stay on our website, and I hope you find all the information you’re looking for! If not please reach out and ask!

Hoping to meet you soon!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

The summer of 2026 comes with a monumental milestone: The 250th Anniversary of America. To commemorate such a special occasion, we will present to the community of Anchorage a journey down the timeline of our nation’s history, from its earliest beginnings to the present day, through an immersive exposition of historical memorabilia.

I will be presenting my entire collection of American History artifacts, along with contributions from other local collectors, allowing attendees to see, learn, and touch real pieces of American history.

I am looking for businesses, churches, organizations, and community members to partner with me to help bring the history of our nation to life for the community of Anchorage.

GET INVOLVED:

Do you have a closet collection of historic items handed down through the generations in your family?

Are you passionate about American history and willing to volunteer your time?

Are you a business owner that would be interested in sponsoring this event?

We need volunteers, sponsors, tables, resources and much more!
